WELCOME TO OUR DEDICATED CHILDREN’S PROGRAM,
WHERE KIDS ARE INVITED TO WALK, RUN, JUMP AND GROW THEIR CHRISTIAN FAITH.
AVAILABLE EVERY SUNDAY DURING CHURCH SERVICES, WE PROVIDE A SAFE, RESPONSIVE AND LOVING ENVIRONMENT WHERE YOUR CHILD WILL FEEL FREE TO BE THEMSELVES!
Nursery
For the littlest ones in your ohana, we welcome you to our nursery! Located just around the corner from the sanctuary itself, parents are welcome to drop off their keiki with our staff, or even stop in to check in on them as needed. Complimentary nursery care is available for children ages 0-24 (ish) months.
We Live stream our entire worship service into the nursery’s television monitor so you’ll never miss a beat! Mamas, this is also a safe and comfortable place to feed infants or comfort their cries and wiggles.
Sunday school
All kids in grades preschool through 5th grade are welcome to join in with our Sunday School classrooms. Children are separated into age appropriate spaces and are provided with a short lesson plan, activity, craft and of course – play time!

Children begin the morning worship service with their parents inside the sanctuary. Pastor Brian will dismiss keiki and they will then meet their teachers outside the front entrance.Parents are welcome to walk their child(ren) out if they wish.
Youth Group
Every other Sunday after church, those in grades 6-12 are invited to take part in our Youth Group on our KUMC Campus. From 11:00am-12:00pm, our youth play games, laugh, snack on lunch items, and begin to dive deeper into Bible lessons.
Youth from additional UMC Windward churches also often come and take part in the fun each afternoon, giving kids the opportunity to grow and meet other likeminded kids from the community!
Events
Throughout the year, KUMC youth + their families are provided with an assortment of family-friendly activities and events!

The big hit of the year is our summer Vacation Bible School. Those ages 3-8 take part in a week-long evening of themed Bible lessons at the KUMC campus. VBS is not just for KUMC members or regular attenders; we open up VBS to all of Kailua and its surrounding communities, giving keiki a chance to make new friends and us to welcome new people into our ohana. Click here to learn about this year's VBS theme. Pastor Brian also is the host chaplain at Camp Mokulea on the North Shore one week each summer. Older youth are encouraged to attend this week long, overnight camp that is a TON of fun!
Additional youth events include our monthly outdoor movie on the lawn, our family friendly beach clean ups, spring or fall festivals with games + bounce houses, and many more!
