WELCOME

Kailua United Methodist Church has been serving our community for nearly 100 years. We take pride in combining our Christian faith with that of our Hawaiian culture, surroundings, and Methodist heritage.

All are welcome as we commune with God and with each other. We extend a special invitation to anyone who is single, married, divorced, widowed, gay, straight, rich, poor, Japanese, Tongan, Hawaiian, Caucasian, and everyone in between.

SERVING ALL

Conveniently located along Kailua Road, church goers will find an abundance of parking and a spectacular outdoor space filled with tropical landscaping and mature monkey pod trees.

Our worship services are a mix of contemporary and traditional. We also incorporate touches of our Hawaiian surrounding such as the blowing of the pu shell to start each service, and even hula!

At KUMC, kids are invited to walk, run, jump and grow their Christian faith. We offer weekly Sunday School lessons, Youth Groups, and nursery care for infants and toddlers.

Our Small Groups provide an opportunity to build friendships and share life together. We eat, laugh, explore God’s word, and encourage each other to grow as followers of Jesus in our everyday lives.

There are a number of ways you can be involved with our outreach opportunities.  We help those on the brink of being homeless, and host blood drives, monthly movie nights & beach cleanups.

We have involvement with several global missions including those doing work in Ecuador, South America and Mali on the continent of Africa. We also support the global UMC’s ministries in Cambodia.
